Well, I just got engaged so I guess I should do what everyone else is doing...start a blog! I'm not sure how good I'll be at keeping you entertained or keeping up with entries, but I'll do my best! I guess I should start with out "love story." :) My fiance, Jordan (I love being able to say that), and I met on September 18, 2007 at the minor league world series at Redhawks stadium in Bricktown. We ended up sitting with the same group of people by chance. I was there with my roommate, Leslie, and another friend, and he was there with a couple friends. When we first met we didn't know we went to the same school. We eventually figured it out and hit it off immediately. I ended up getting a ball from that game...which is significant. :) We got to know each other a little better over the next couple of weeks since we were both participating in Freshmen Fanfare, and we talked a lot on AIM. We hung out with a group of people later that week and I thought he had a thing for my roommate...not the case. We had exchanged numbers over AIM one Saturday night, and that next Sunday he calls me and asks if I want to go to DOWN ministry with him that night. Duh...I said yes. So he had no idea what DOWN ministry was about, but we went to downtown OKC and gave food to the homeless and prayed with them. At one point Jordan was on his knees praying with one man who was struggling. That struck a chord with me. After that he dropped off his friends and took me to Baskin Robbins (my favorite ice cream place! daquiri ice please!) where we talked for 3 hours...and he even missed an intramural football game...a seriously big deal. From there we continued to talk, but I wasn't sure I was ready to be in a relationship. But exactly a month to the day after we met, I gave into his charm and we started dating officially (Facebook official ;)). Only 2 months later he told me he loved me and I was smitten. It's been a crazy road of ups (spending my entire freshman year with him) and downs (when he told me he decided to withdraw from OC to attend the fire academy...in Texas...and we've lived at least 2 hours away from each other at all times) but it has definitely been worth it. I'm marrying my best friend, the man I trust with all my being and love with all my heart and soul. So let this wedding madness begin!!!
