I never did tell the story of our engagement in my first post...sorry...but I'll do that now. Apparently everyone and their dog knew I was getting engaged soon...except for me. So on Thursday, April 1...yeah April Fools Day...my roommate Leslie asked if I wanted to go with her to a little place in OKC called Cuppies and Joe because she had a "project" she needed to do. Now, she's had a project like this before where she listens to people's conversations and then writes a paper over it, so I didn't question it. So Thursday afternoon rolls around and we head to Cuppies, but after sitting there for about 20 minutes, no one was really having a conversation so she decided we needed to go somewhere else, I suggested the OKC Bombing Memorial because there might be some interesting conversations there...I feel really morbid about the fact that we went there and we really didn't have to be...but anyways, while we were there one of my friends calls me and says, "Is there something you need to tell me?" I was like,"I don't think soooooooo..." Well, apparently what had happened was that the email about MY candlelighting went out before I was engaged, so I had no idea she was actually calling me about my own candlelighting, but back to the story. So around 5:30 Leslie says she has a "meeting" with her group for a project and she needed to head back. So we get back to campus and she drops me off at our apartment and goes to her "meeting". So I walk in the door...and there is a baseball on the ground and a trail of rose petals leading to my bedroom. I shut the door and said,"Oh. My. Gosh." So I walked back to my bedroom and Jordan is standing there with pink roses. I just started laughing. The poor guy is covered in sweat, but he starts talking to me and tells me how much he loves me. Then he has me sit down, gets on one knee and asks me to marry him!!! Of course I said yes...and cried...and was on the phone for the next 2 hours. It was a great day and I'm marrying the love of my life in 439 days! (yes I'm already counting down, judge me).
