Happenings of Lately

Since graduating college, getting married and starting my first job, my life has become significantly less chaotic, hence less blog posts. My goal for this year...post more! I am learning that I don't just have to talk about my life and it's (used to be) craziness.

First, mine and Jordan's first married Christmas was wonderful! I worked on Christmas Eve (and technically Christmas morning) so as soon as I got home we had our Christmas!

After our Christmas I went to sleep for awhile before we headed out to Mustang for family Christmas...where I promptly passed out again. The next day we packed up and headed for Denison to see Jordan's family, but not before seeing my Grandma and cousins in Ardmore. It was a busy Christmas season but it was a blast and I can't wait to spend so many more with my best buddy.

I'm going to play catch up, so even though it's aleady January 17th, I might as well share my resolutions.

1.) Stop biting my nails!
I have done pretty well with this one so far. In fact, I got my first real manicure with my own nail yesterday! This was a somewhat mandatory resolution condsidering i work in a hospital and don't to acquire any unnecessary yuckiness.

2.) Lose 10 pounds.
So far not so good with this one, but it's only the beginning of January!

3.) Run/work out every chance I get.
I have no reason NOT to be at the gym. Since J works at Gold's Gym, I have a free membership and a live in personal trainer. Only problem, I'm the mouthiest client he has which can sometimes lead to arguments...but goodness, it's hard work getting into shape!

4.) Be less anxious.
I have always struggled with worrying over silly things and becoming anxious over things I can't control. My goal for this is to not worry about things that haven't happened yet and don't borrow trouble, it will all work out.

5.) Last, but not least I am going to try to be more positive.
I'm afraid for so long I have been "THAT" person who makes every situation negative. I used to think this was so I would be prepared for the worst and be happy when it turned out better, but I've learned it actually makes me a negative person who see's nothing good in a situation, so I am determined to be the person who see's the positive...not to the point where I annoy people with my happiness, but a good happy medium somewhere in there.

So these are the happenings of lately, I am going to start having a Foodie Friday as well, which will help me branch out to try new recipes and share them with you all! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
